What is the JyuniHitoe?


It refers to formal attire worn by women in the Heian period (794-1185).
The traditional Chinese-style costume was introduced from China and evolved into a loose-fitting form to suit the climate and lifestyle of Japan,
It evolved into a more relaxed form to suit Japan's climate and lifestyle.
At that time, costumes were called "Kasane," an elegant name given to the overlapping of the outer and inner fabrics and the color scheme of the top and bottom layers.
Many of the "kasane" were named after flowers loved by the court nobility,
The names of the layers are said to have been named after flowers loved by the court nobles and appropriate to the season.
This is an original jyuni-hitoe that reduces the weight while keeping the rules of jyuni-hitoe.
